Every society in the world has some of their own but different Social issues. Actually social problems are a part of a society, which can’t be extant from society for forever.

As like other parts of the world, Assam has also many social issues. In this post, we will learn about 3 main burning social problems of Assam, which has been creating many other problems in this North-eastern state’s society.

1. Unemployment: - The very first burning social problem is unemployment in Assam. I don’t know whether you believe it or not but in 2018 Assam is the most unemployed state of India. Here there is over 35 lakh youth, who are unemployed. So the condition is too bad.

However, the unemployment problem in Assam has many other reasons, like unskilled labor, less growth in Industrialization, blind believes, poor education system, extremist activities, etc.

Among all these reasons I think unskilled labor is the major one. The main reason I think it as a major is a person who has no skill, how he/she will be to do a particular job, which contains technical skill.

2. Illegal immigration: - Illegal immigration to Assam is also another burning issue of Assam, because of illegal immigration the state population has reached today to 3.5 crores. It’s really a huge population to cover for the small state.

Neighboring countries like Bangladesh and other Indian state people immigration here for taking different types of benefit like shelter, food and other like a business, etc.

These things growing the state population horribly, so that is why illegal immigration is also another influencing cause of Assam’s burning social problems.

3. Language Crisis: - Every caste and community loves their languages very much.  Assamese people also love their Assamese language very much. But nowadays, because of illegal immigration, there is a major crisis falling out to the existence of this beautiful language.

Assamese people are struggling to save their linguistic existence, therefore, a very complex situation now coming out in front of the societies of Assam.

Because there are too many communities are living in the same land, where languages are different from each other. Therefore now communities are standing against each other to save their own languages, especially Assamese VS Bengali.

So, this is also a major burning issue in Assam.
